(The following was released September 23, 1997 by the White HouseOffice of the Vice President following the ninth meeting of theU.S.-Russian Joint Commission on Economic and Technical Cooperation,also known as the Gore-Chernomyrdin Commission)

U.S. Vice President Al Gore and Russian Prime Minister ViktorChernomyrdin concluded the ninth meeting of the U.S.-Russian JointCommission on Economic and Technological Cooperation in Moscow today.The co-chairmen of the Commission announced the signing of 10agreements completed during the Commission meeting. In addition, 8statements were issued.
